A medical graduate from Dow University of Health Sciences( Dow Medical College) having postgraduate diploma in Public Health (MCPS) from the college of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and Armed Forces Postgraduate Medical Institute Rawalpindi Pakistan. He has attended a postgraduate degree course of MS Public Health in University of Colorado USA under WHO fellowship and obtained the degree of MS Public Health in 1986. Dr. Ahmed has a vast experience of Management of Health Care Services in a developing country, spread over more than 25 years at district and country levels. Done research in Community Health and Iodine Deficiency Disorders. He has attended courses and conferences in USA at CDC Atlanta Georgia, Canada, Singapore and Indonesia and organised Primary Health Care and Family Planning Programme.
