Dr Gardezi is a board certified Consultant.Following his initial medical training Dr Gardezi completed his sub-specialty training in Cardiology from North West London Deanery with rotations at World leading tertiary Cardio-thoracic centers in London & Oxford including Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital, Harefield Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare Trust & Oxford University Hospitals.

Dr Gardezi successfully completed his research fellowship at Radcliffe Department of Medicine, University of Oxford with his thesis focusing on the clinical epidemiology of atrial fibrillation in an elderly population cohort and its association with valvular heart disease leading to the award of Masters in Science by Research from the prestigious University of Oxford. His research work has led to numerous national and international presentations as well as numerous publications in high impact peer reviewed Journals.

Dr Gardezi has been teaching both undergraduate students and postgraduate trainees for many years and has received excellent feedback from University of Oxford, Kings College London and Imperial College London medical students as well as postgraduate trainees and the attendees of Royal Society of Medicine training days. In recognition of his teaching expertise and contributions Dr Gardezi was awarded membership of the Academy of Medical Educators (MAcadMEd).

Dr Gardezi is also actively involved in teaching medical professionals both national and internationally through initiatives such as teaching the Cardiology SpRs via the “Covid-19 Video teaching” webinar started by Cardiology NW Thames and sponsored by BJCA & British Cardiovascular Society, teaching higher specialty training SpRs on training days arranged by the Royal College of Physicians and Health Education England as well as teaching international doctors through APPNA-MERIT initiative.
